Description

The Brute 6500 was purpose-built for dedicated western hunters who need a complete, “out-of-the-box” system for bulky gear and extended backcountry stays. It comes with several key features that improve comfort and adaptability in the field.

Contour Shoulder Harness:

The Brute 6500 comes with our new Contour Shoulder Harness suspension system, making it easy to get an exact torso fit with unlimited height adjustment. By tailoring your fit, you can quickly improve load distribution and remove weight off your shoulders, reducing strain and discomfort. This correctly places weight on your hips and allows you to move more efficiently over long distances. Robust air-mesh padding on the harness promotes airflow and regulates your body temperature by dissipating heat as you move. Elevated load lifters allow you to adjust the pack's angle and bring the top of the pack closer to your center of gravity. With proper adjustment, you’ll have a more natural posture, and the pack will feel much lighter on your back.

Cradle Hip Belt:

The Brute 6500 also comes with the Cradle Hip Belt, our most comfortable hip belt to date. A silicon print on the lumbar pad keeps your pack and clothing positioned in place during your hunt, preventing clothing from riding up and rubbing. The retention buckle keeps the belt securely around your waist, and pull-forward straps allow you to easily tighten while on the move. Rear stabilizing straps help you prevent sway, helping to increase your endurance and keep you focused on the hunt.

Storage:

6,500 cubic inches of space provides sufficient room for all your gear on a 4-5 day hunt. An expandable roll top allows you to add extra camping gear, insulating layers, or anything else you may need in the alpine. The Brute 6500 offers dual access to the main compartment—either through the integrated roll-top or a large front zipper panel. On the front, there is a stretch pocket built for storing quick-access essentials like rain shells and wet-weather gear. Inside, you’ll find a hydration hanger loop and elastic stuff pockets for smaller items. A full-length stretch pocket on one side of the pack provides storage for a spotting scope or other quick-access items. After dropping camp, tighten the straps down to compress the 6500 into a more streamlined day-hunting pack.

The Brute 6500 features a removable lid that attaches to the frame using gate-keeper clips. On top of the lid, there's a stretch pocket for quick access to larger, irregularly shaped items like water bottles or survival kits. The front includes a general-purpose pocket for small items such as tools, headlamps, snacks, or medical equipment.

The Brute 3500, 4500, and 6500 packs are built with a lightweight internal frame to provide stability, comfortably distributing weight for long ascents to ridgeline glassing points, and during brutal pack outs after filling your tag. Similar in design to the MODFRAME™, an integrated load panel extends as far out as needed, while vertical and horizontal straps with auto-locking buckles keep the load tight and secure to your back. This minimizes weight shift, improves your body mechanics, and reduces fatigue as you move across uneven terrain.

Know Before You Buy

Brute 6500

Questions, Answered.

What unique feature does the Brute 6500 have that aids in load stability
The Brute 6500 features a load panel that sits between the frame and the pack, improving load stability. The pack’s innovative hybrid frame also benefits load stability. A tubular aluminum perimeter gives the frame structure, resisting vertical flexion, while a polycarbonate center allows for controlled horizontal flexion as you hike. This allows the pack to move with your body while keeping weight properly dispersed.
How does the air mesh padding in the shoulder harness benefit users
The air-mesh padding increases ventilation, helping regulate body temperature and keep you cool during heavy packouts.
What features does the cradle hip belt of the Brute 6500 include
The cradle hip belt features a reinforced lumbar pad for comfort, silicone strips to keep the pack in place during movement, and load stabilization straps that adjust for sway when you switch from hiking in to hauling out 100lbs of meat.
How does the removable lid enhance the functionality of the Brute 6500
The removable lid features two pockets and attaches to the frame via gatekeeper clips, offering additional storage. The lid is specifically designed to hug skulls and antlers, making your packout more secure.
What is a key feature of the Brute 6500 pack that the smaller packs do not have
The Brute 6500 comes with an integrated roll top, while the 3500 and 4500 packs feature a zippered top.
