Heraklis Duffelis

Questions, Answered.

What is the capacity and weight of the Hercules
The Hercules measures 41 inches long, 18 inches wide, and up to 17 inches deep, holds roughly 11,500 cubic inches, and weighs 14 pounds.
What is the Hercules designed for
The Hercules is the big brother to the Atlas Duffel and our largest rolling duffel. It handles deployments, overlanding, or consolidating an entire hunting loadout into one large but manageable bag.
What materials and hardware does the Hercules use
The Hercules is built from 500 denier ripstop nylon with Duraflex buckles for durability and lockable YKK zippers to secure the contents.
What external features does the Hercules have
The Hercules includes serviceable off-road wheels for rugged surfaces, dual drag handles, top carry straps, dual patch panels, a clear document sleeve, and external MOLLE webbing. Compression straps let you carry a rifle case, a smaller pack, or other long equipment externally. A pull-out rain cover is stored in its own compartment for quick access.
How is the Hercules organized inside
The main compartment has internal MOLLE webbing and two hook-and-loop panels that let you partition it however you need. A large zippered basement compartment handles bulky items like boots, firearms, tripods, and dirty clothes, with internal compression straps to secure loose items.
Can I add custom protection inside the Hercules
Yes. An optional foam kit for the basement compartment can be custom-cut for weapons or other delicate equipment.
Is the Hercules airline approved
Yes. The Hercules is TSA tested and backed by our simple lifetime warranty.

Customers praised this duffel's exceptional capacity and durability, noting it "holds everything" for tactical operations, hunting, and extended travel. The wheels and construction quality impressed many. However, some reported concerns about dividers not staying secure, lack of structure causing stability issues, and one zipper failure after a year.

Surprisingly let down

I had very high hopes for the Hercules pack and really wish I was giving a five star review. There were two issues with this pack that I deployed days after receiving in ( for TheTactical Games). First, I do not believe there is enough loop field to secure the dividers. This is important because there is no structure to the duffel portion. The second issue was that one of my straps was not secure and was rolled over by the wheel and surprisingly the material tore. This is not something that I was expecting given my experience with Eberlestock products.

There are many positives to this pack, too.. The wheels are top-notch and the volume that can be stored is stellar. The pack easily holds all of my Tactical Games items for a weekend competition. It is also perfect for my entire SWAT loadout.

I hope to revise my review and have missed something with the dividers. I also need to customize the foam for the bottom case for my rifle. Being able to have all of my equipment and rifle together is a great benefit.

Built for the Mission: SWAT Commander Review

As a SWAT Commander, I’m constantly transporting mission-essential equipment to training, callouts, and operations. Over the years, I’ve used plenty of gear bags, but the Eberlestock Hercules Duffel has quickly become one of the best I’ve owned.

The biggest advantage is its capacity. I was able to consolidate virtually all of my equipment into one bag instead of juggling multiple cases and duffels. That alone makes loading up for training and deployments much more efficient.

The rolling design is another standout feature. Once fully loaded, this bag carries a significant amount of weight, and the heavy-duty wheels make moving it through parking lots, ranges, airports, or training facilities effortless. The integrated rain cover is another thoughtful addition that provides extra protection when the weather turns bad.

What impressed me most is the overall build quality. The materials, zippers, handles, and stitching all feel extremely durable and built for hard use. This is clearly a bag designed by people who understand the demands placed on professional users.

Whether you’re on a SWAT team, part of a tactical unit, military, or simply someone who travels with a lot of equipment, the Hercules is an outstanding investment. It keeps everything organized, protects your gear, and eliminates the hassle of carrying multiple bags.

Overall Rating: 5/5

The Eberlestock Hercules has exceeded my expectations. It’s rugged, practical, and built for professionals who depend on their equipment. I have no doubt this bag will be riding with me for years to come.

Realy big bag.

I've had this bag for a year now and it's taking quite a beating. Right now the zipper seems to be the only thing malfunctioning and falling apart. When I travel for work it carries everything that I have. So if you want to bag that is good on traveling as well put together this is a good bag.

Remarkable Quality Ordered 4 Hercules

A no compromise system for high end sensitive load outs. Weapons optics, TV and NV gear can easily approach $50k plus. This is the only duffle I use for extensive rough use.

Good bag with some flaws

I'm active duty army assigned to a IBCT in a BSB. Just took this bag on a 9 month deployment. I've used LBT deployment bags prior to this for deployments and long term field problems. I have rucks from Kifaru, mystery ranch, and eberlestock for comparison of quality.

This bag has some good internal organization. When compared to the LBT it has a slightly narrower but deeper profile. This makes it more liable to be top heavy if loaded incorrectly but also generally easier to maneuver around the airport, between lodging areas, and to carry on one's shoulder like a large duffle. I'm a tall big dude and this will take an IOTV with XL plates, side plates, chest rig, belt rig and holster, and helmet with eye/ear pro pro with extra stuff without issue. The pockets are excellent. I found the LBT ones to be slightly too large externally to the point where a variety of systems were packed in each one. The Hercules pockets are excellent with good quality zippers. I believe they are just the right size as its easy to pack in a system in each (IE a fleece and beenie/light gloves in one, soft shell jacket in another etc). The included wet weather fly and the end internal pockets are nice additions. The end pockets are excellent for spare PCs, spare patches, minor things. The lining of the upper portion of the bag is great and lets you velcro in pounches (The mystery ranch ROUS/RATs pouches work great for this). Overall external fabric is tough and relatively water resistant. I also like the well situated document pocket for 1750s.

Now a few gripes. 1. I wish that the fabric between the bottom and top compartment had a zipper. I would much prefer to be able to connect the upper and lower compartment together. Currently the separationleads to dead space between the two locations if you have odd shaped pieces in the bottom area (like an IOTV with plates and side plates) which is necessary to keep the bag not top heavy. This is probably an excellent organization strategy for hunters and range goers who pack their weapons but most soldiers carry theirs on their person so having a larger connectable area makes sense rather than a dedicated weapons case area. My second and larger gripe is the durability of the stitching. One of my two duffles has already had the abrasion resistant portion of hypolon along the top edge come loose. There is a single layer of stitching at this site so if it catches its absolutely ripping. Second, I also have my doubts about the handle durability. I like the rivet however the stitching around the rivet on the sides of the handle appears somewhat flimsy. I absolutely heard a stitch rip in one of these locations while dragging the bag around the base so I'm half expecting it to rip off on the way home. Hopefully not but in my opinion the stiching durability is a significant concern.

It was durable enough for me to deploy with and return, but I don't think I could live out of this bag in the field (that's a super POG thing to say but such is the BSB life where we are typically in roving truck communities with a duffle and a ruck).

So overall a good bag with excellent organization and accessibility, but if the stitching quality fails further I would hesitate to recommend this to other Army folks without that caveat.

Hercules - Tiny-Home on Wheels

I literally live out of this bag. I currently travel 9 months out of the year working as a contractor. The bag is a mansion to a minimalist, everything I own fits w/ room to spare. I am able to safely store and conceal a full load out along w/ a 4 season wardrobe & sleeping system. The large duffle provides me a very real sense of stability along with organizational capability while on extended deployments. I use the Little Brother for my EDC bag and the duffle as my tiny-home on wheels IoI Thank you Eberlestock Team!

Amazing all in one duffel

Just traveled with the Hercules Duffel and flew with it loaded with 4 guns. It was awesome to have everything in one bag. Hard case bottom was perfect and TSA loved it btw. Impressed quite a few people on my trip with this duffel. Super cool.

Just took the Hercules on a 1 week training trip and could not be more happy with a product. Rolled great over a gravel driveway, grass, and floors. The ability to separate the nasty footwear in the bottom compartment was great. I definitely over packed but having the ability to do so is worth it in every way. A++ in my book.

I have to admit I did a lot of research between the Atlas, Hercules, and a competitor. After a sale i couldnt pass up I ordered it and wasn't. disappointed. This bag is everything it claims, imagine my suprise when I forgot about the "bottom compartment" and opened it. This bag is a quality made beast. Wish it around when i was in the military and as a contractor.

Its huge! Perfect for traveling for a weekend woth plenty of room for everything needed. Could be for camping, range weekend training, family trips etc. Great quality of construction. My only wish was that it had a hard exterior on the bottom like the bang bang bag. It has a hard internal thats waterproof but the external may still be subject to tearing and exposure. Also being abke to have a couple spring loaded legs ( similar to a golf bag) that couod prop it up in the airport or while traveling could be ahuge upgrade! Love the bag, its bigger than I thought but super happy with it! This is my second purchase from Eberlestock and it def wont be my last!

So far, so good.

Everything about this bag is great except that it can't stand up.

This duffel is the real deal. I am throughly impressed with the quality of the components and construction. The foam insert for the bottom compartment is a must have, I am not sure why they dont just include it in there. The pockets have plenty of storage space for accessories and the larger ones have divided pockets within them which is a nice touch. The wheels feel very sturdy. The zippers are all high quality and can be locked with luggage locks. Overall a seriously high quality unit.

This Duffel has an amazing amount of space. Fits my 34” bow in the lower compartment. Quality looks good but we will see how it holds up.

Everything I could want and more in a duffle. LOTS of storage for my kit and much more. Highly recommend. Construction is strong and durable...like all Eberlestock products. They are my go to for my loadouts and will continue to be for my future trips.

Is this bag TSA approved? Thank you for your time.

Eberlestock

No, you wouldn't be able to fly with a firearm in the Hercules duffle.
