The Brooks 3500 was purpose-built for seamless integration with the Hunt EMOD system. It is simply an attachment bag. It does not include a shoulder harness, hip belt, or frame. Customers praised this lightweight hunting pack as "the most comfortable" with excellent quality and tons of storage for 1-3 day hunts. Pairs well with frames. Some concerns: only one water bottle pocket, roll-top reduces capacity, lightweight fabric durability questions, lack of dual side pockets for poles/tripods.
Just used my Brooks 3500 yesterday for an afternoon whitetail bow hunt on the Mod frame and it worked great. Got it to used for elk hunts next fall and I’m using it on my whitetail hunts to get a good feel for it and everything worked great. Had my daughter with me so I had lots of extra stuff and everything fit with plenty of room to spare. Can’t wait to haul out my first deer with it

Awesome bag for a three day adventure. Ton of space with the stuff style main compartment, stretchy external pockets and internal side pockets. The roll to close top is a nice feature as well. Keeps out unwanted debris and bugs.
I've had this pack now for a year. Its been a pretty decent pack, but it doesn't have 2 "water bottle" pockets... Had i relized this, I wouldn't have ordered it. I carry trecking poles and a tripod with me at all times. As most backcountry hunters do. I own a bunch of Eberlestock packs, and they all have this feature. I think they missed the mark with only putting 1 water bottle pocket. Not a deal breaker for most. But when you have a system of how you pack and carry your stuff, it's a hiccup. Other than this one oversight. Its a REALLY GOOD PACK.
I was very surprised at what i can fit in this pack. It is super light and man is there a ton of room. It's big but not too big. The material is stretchy enough to really pack it full if needed but it also compresses down well for the times when I won't have it fully loaded. I paired it with the Mod Frame and the pack lid and it really makes the perfect set up for me. Its big enough to hold 3 days worth of gear for back country hunts but also small enough to toss in a few things for a quick day trip just outside of camp. Can not speak enough to how well it is made. High quality all around. With proper care this will last me the rest of my days.
I ordered this on a recommendation from a friend. I have loaded it with all my gear (50lb) and have been hiking in prep for my Idaho elk hunt. It is an awesome pack. It is snug and very comfortable.
I bought for fall hunt, so far, I am happy with the product.
Wasn't exactly blown away with this product out of the gate, but it does fit the bill in alot of ways. What gives me pause or I would have liked to have been different.
1. There is alot of super lightweight fabric on this pack that I worry about the long term durability of.
2. Alot of plastic clips and velcro. I would have preferred lifetime quality metal clips at this price point. Velcro is also not something I love as it is loud and gathers those little seeds.
3. The lack of a lid is a strange feature, especially since no lid was available when I purchased it that would actually configure to it. I bought the multilid as I thought it would fit multiple systems, but turns out there is no way to use the included hardware to elegantly compliment this pack. I am buying other straps and clips to configure that lid to this pack. Apparently now they have a new lid for it, but I would think an Eberlestock lid should configure across eberlestock products.
4. When a pack has so many specific pockets that are perfectly sized for x,y,z, it actually limits your interpretation of the product for your own needs. I would have liked to see less pockets and compartments (maybe a few overall) but them being larger. I have my own specific ideas, but I am sure we all do. I just feel like the design was more stylistic than practical. My theory would be to make pouches and pockets full length/full width, but able to lay flat when not in use. The narrow pocket in the back divided in 2 out of very thin material limits what I will place in there and appears prone to premature wear. It would have taken just a bit more fabric to have that feature extend the full width of that back panel. Also it would have made the zippered opening to access the interior larger for getting in and out of.
5. Not sure I am in love with the roll top. maybe it just takes some getting used to but it seems slower to access.
I had the Mainframe with the Batwings. I really loved it, but I always found myself a bit short of space to fit all our family bits and bobs.
At first I wanted the Vapor 2500, but then I opted for the Brooks 3500 – and it’s simply brilliant! Not too big, perfect for a week’s holiday on my own or for a weekend away with my wife and two children.
Thanks to its very clever system, it attaches perfectly to the Mainframe and is very comfortable for hours of hiking on your back, even with a heavy load.
I’ve owned quite a few products, but this one is top-notch and, for me, the benchmark against which all others are measured.
I can’t wait to go on an off-road hike for an adventure trip... thank you, Eberlestock, for these incredible and durable products!
The new Packbacking Brooks 3500 is a great size for everything you need for 3 days. I also have the Modframe. Overall, they’re worth the money when they’re on sale! 👍

Best pack money can buy. Finally updated my 15 year old Eberlestock pack that still works, great just a lot of wear and tear. Pair this pack with the mainframe and you’ll have the most comfortable and versatile pack ever.
This is a nice light weight bag with a lot of storage. Pros: lots of storage. Light weight for its size. Cons: wish it had an open pocket on both sides so I could carry trekking poles and my tripod. I like how the roll top lets you expand it, but wish it had another pocket or two to aid with organization.
Have used it twice now. It’s great along with the Modframe. Really much more comfortable than any other pack/frame I’ve ever owned. Have used it on 2 different 1 week camping/hiking trips into big Cypress national preserve. The quality. Is superb. Haven’t yet to use the 7500 pack. But will be in near future. Thanks for such a great frame/pack.

This is probably the most perfect backpack to date. Even on the original mainframe it is far superior than the excellent Vapor series.
Having used this on multiple hunts I'm happy with it. Great layout, light weight, quality construction, modular. I did not have the chance to haul meet with it. So I can't speak to how a heavy load handles/balances with the bag unzipped from the frame and buckled on with meat behind it.
Im using the mainframe with the 3500 bag, when filled with my normal wet and cold weather hunting gear I have room for everything I need and more.
I like being able to access the bag from the top or the front also the exterior zip pockets. that said the jury is still out on the roll top configuration.
When rolled down to secure (two full turns minimum or it pops open) you lose considerable space. Because of this loss of space the bag is most likely not a true 3500 capacity. It is not 36" tall even with the roll top unsecured and stretched out. It may be a bit small for a 2 or 3 day hike in hunt where you have additional food and camping gear.
All in all great pack from Eberlestock, glad I made the purchase.

Again your packs are rock solid in design and workmanship. I’m slowly replacing my packs from a competitor with yours. Plus you have an amazing group of tech experts who respond to questions and provide pictures and videos and simple answers to questions
One suggestion would be to add another pouch on the right side to mirror the one on the left. That’s just a minor thing. Thanks again for the great product

what are differences between the brooks 3500 and the brute 3500?
The Brooks 3500 is a bag that must be added to the Modframe or Mainframe. The Brute 3500 is a standalone pack with an integrated frame.
What size rain cover will fit this bag?

I have a Mainframe II and am trying to decide between the Brooks 3500 and 7000. I am 64, carry less weight than I used to (probably 60-70 lbs max) for extended or uphill hikes. I will be packing into the backcountry hunting Blacktail and Elk for 3 - 7 day trips this fall and I am not sure which pack to get. I would like to use the pack in 2 ways; packing into the hunting area with all the gear, and also as a day pack when out hunting. I feel the 3500 would be better for day pack part, but I am not sure if it is large enough for the 7 day pack in. Would the 7000 work fine for the day pack use? Any help would be appreciated. It sounds like you are in need of two bags. BUT, if I could only choose one I would steer towards the 7000. You can always compress it down, but you cant add space.
Sir/Ma’am…I just purchased the Brooks 3500, the MODFRAME, and the EMOD lid. As I am putting the system together….I cannot find any type of small exit hole for my water bladder hose. Is there an exit hole for your water bladder suction tube? Thank You.
The pack should include a hydration hose port and an internal hanger designed to accommodate your bladder hose routing, though it might be subtle and easily overlooked. It is particularly at the top center just above the internal bladder area, for a small slit or grommet.
Possible to use a scabbard with the mainframe and brooks 3500?
