X2

Questions, Answered.

What is the capacity and weight of the X2
The X2 measures 24 inches high by 17.5 inches wide by 8 inches deep, holds just under 2,500 cubic inches (40L), and weighs about 5.5 pounds.
What is the frame and compression system on the X2
The X2 uses our lightweight, durable Intex aluminum frame paired with a four-way intersection of compression straps across the face. This combination is what makes it effective for packing out meat and hauling tree stands or saddles.
How does the X2 open
Unclip the vertical and horizontal buckles to access the main compartment from either the cinch top or the front side zip. You can reach gear regardless of where it is stowed.
How is the X2 organized
The X2 has four main compartments plus additional organization pockets. The wings feature elastic side pockets on the outside and MOLLE webbing on the inside for our scabbard or pouches, along with zippered stretch pockets for smaller items. A front stretch pocket lets you stash gear quickly. Inside, you will find an elastic hydration sleeve and hanging loop sized for our 2L or 3L Source bladder.
What is the floating top lid
The floating top lid pulls away from the pack to fit the top section of a quartered animal, a rifle, or a tripod. When the main compartment is empty, you can compress the wings together to form a more streamlined daypack.
How does the floating harness system work
The X2 features a floating harness system between the shoulder harness and hip belt. This allows for maximum airflow along your back during long carries.
What material is the X2 made from
The X2 is constructed with DWR-treated microsuede for added weather protection and quiet operation. The multicam version is built with 500-denier Cordura nylon and is IR-compliant.
Can I add accessories to the X2
Yes. The X2 has two rows of exterior MOLLE webbing that accept general purpose pouches. The hip belt and side wing interiors also feature two rows of MOLLE for organizational accessories.

Customers praised this versatile hunting pack for exceptional comfort and durability. "Most comfortable pack I've had the pleasure of rucking with," one noted. The frame effectively distributes weight for heavy loads, while numerous pockets provide ample storage. Ideal for saddle hunting and meat hauling, though some desire more waist padding and quieter materials.

X2

The X2 is a great all around backpack. Can be used in the Midwest for carrying tree stands, tools, stools, bows or packing out meat. Great for whitetail hunting and can be used for short Elk hunting excursions. The new model has been improved to fit a longer torso. My grandsons will use my old model now after I purchased the new one.

awesome pack, well layed out and comfortable, got it for the wife. The only things it could use are an adjustable suspension and pockets in the hip straps

Excellent Pack and lots of storage.

Used this pack to get my bull elk out with. Extremely comfortable and held everything in place. Easy to wash and no stains.

Does it all

I was looking for a pack that was light enough to use as a saddle hunting pack but also able to pack out a deer with. After a season of use with 2 deer and 1 elk, I can say this is that pack. Great for packing in climbing sticks, a platform and whatever gear you need for a day in the tree or hiking, and then can add to this a whole quartered deer or an elk quarter to pack out. Can carry 80 plus lbs of weight comfortably and securely. Absolutely love this pack. Sky camo is also spot on for blending into tree.

X2 review

Awesome pack! Used it for the first time with my saddle hunting setup. Between the platform and 4 sticks, there’s still plenty of room for my other gear and extra clothes. Only complaint would be a small gear pouch on the waist strap.

Awesome pack!

It’s a really sturdy built pack and it’s about right for me. I generally only hunt whitetail in the Appalachian mountains and it’s great to store all my one stick saddle gear so I can get deeper in the mountains. Along with the saddle gear, I had no issue packing out my buck on the pack because of all the adjustments. 10/10 recommend. Fast shipping too!

Weightless Saddle Hunting

It obviously weighs what it weighs. I love this pack. My intended use is saddle hunting. My kit packs out really well with 4 climbing sticks and platform. Straps are long and PALs/MOLLE capability allow me to attach TQ holders and my IFAK. There is no interior organization, however enough room to fit organization pouches in which works best for a hunter, keeping your application specific. The pack really is light for a framed pack with that amount of durability and suspension system is thoroughly thought out. That’s all.

Incredible Pack!

By far the most comfortable pack I've had the pleasure of rucking with. The fabric makeup allows this bag to stretch ever so slightly to make this pack an extremely compact, and in turn, a very comfortable fit. The batwings allow me to carry slightly more when unclipped and even carry a secondary small bag, thanks to the extra-long straps.

Better than expected

Wasn’t sure if size would be right and it’s better than expected. Very comfortable to wear, fits well with other accessories and it holds everything I need with plenty of space left over. Couldn’t be happier.

X2 is a super comfortable day pack or overnight option

Although I already have a number of Eberlestock packs, the X2 at half price was too good to pass up. It has been with me on one day hunt so far and I appreciated the way the “bat wing” sides folded in and compressed for a compact low drag profile when loaded light. The frame gives confidence in the structure when loading out heavy and the straps, belt, and lumbar pad make it easy to direct the load through your hips and it is super comfortable. The only improvement I would suggest is a broader “skirt” around the base of the top lid which would help shed water and forest debris away from the body of the bag a little better. I have historically used the Eberlestock Gunslinger as my overnight option (with tent stashed in the gun scabbard) but I am looking forward to setting up the X2 for those missions too.

Best, and most versatile, day/multi-day pack I've ever used. This is my third X2.

Great bang for your buck backpack

I have owned many of the big name backpack brands while hunting Archery elk DIY the last 25 years. This pack will most likely be used more for packing Midwest Whitetail, and accompany me on my annual trip to the big island Hawaii to pack, sheep, goats, and hogs. Although I haven’t had a chance to really work it out in the field yet, I have worn it around home and when hiking on my farm a couple of times. I purchased this pack in the outlet on sale, and it was a great value for the price. It is very well-made, very quiet, and extremely well thought out with all the extra user-friendly compartments and molle loops. The pack fits comfortably snug up to my back, and since I am fairly short torso, it fits my build perfectly. Awesome pack I look forward to using this fall.

Excellent pack - The search is over

I’ve finally found a pack that suits my needs and carries heavier loads evenly and comfortably. The frame makes carrying heavier loads a breeze and the padded shoulder straps and waist belt secure it to your body perfectly. Add on the ability to strap your bow or rifle to the back of the pack as well as carry out your field dressed game and you have perfection. This pack is perfect for 1-3 day trips. Anything longer and I’d suggest moving up in size and using one of this company’s frames with the pack separate from it. It just depends on how far you’re walking I guess. But the X2 suits my needs perfectly and I highly suggest buying one. Adding the company is veteran owned and it’s a no brainer for me.

Fast Packing

The X2 Version 2 remains my preferred pack for fast packing. The discounted outlet price allowed me to pick up another for daily physical training and serves as a gym bag when I jog to a nearby gym.

UNUSED SO FAR

I love Eberlestock packs and have several older X2s. I'm just starting to get used to the new X2, so it's unfair to provide a review. So far, the quality is top notch, but the zipper/pocket placement is different. I need to work with it.

It's Eberlestock. I got one bag to try out ages ago. This makes the 4th one I've purchased now and I have zero regrets.

Great Packs

I have used a M2 Mountain for years. They are so good I purchased 2 for my grandsons. If i had not been happy with my own, I would not have purchased 2 for the grandsons. If it is good enough for me, it is good enough for them.

Freakin awesome bag for hunting

Got this bag for packing in ladder sticks/stands for public land hunting. Had a cheaper pack with attachments meant to hold sticks, but this thing provides so much more support. The frame is sturdy and makes it so much easier to pack in climbing sticks and stand to those remote spots. Opened up my ability to scout new areas with all my gear due to how well this pack distributes the load. Very versatile on what you can pack in, and it's easy to adjust on the fly as you're adding or removing gear during your hunt. Also works great for packing in shooting tripod. Waited a few months to do this review, but so far everything has held up great. Wish the main compartment had a tad bit more room, but I really love the side compartments and floating top pack. I like the stretchy pockets. This thing will carry Bows, ladder sticks, stands, seats, heavy jackets, tripods, rifles, and hold the weight in such a way that doesn't give you fatigue. Material is quiet, yet durable. Zippers feel good quality. If you slowly clip in buckles it can be pretty quiet. All around great design and I'd recommend to anyone looking for a quality, versatile pack.

Gift for me, gift for my daughter

My daughter bought this pack for me for my birthday. She shot an elk and I got to use my new pack, what a great pack system! It was absolutely the best pack ive ever used for packing meat! I thanked my daughter by buying her one!! Now she can help me pack my elk out of the bottom of the canyon ! 😀

One tough pack

Recently purchased a second X2 for my wife. I've owned mine a few years, and have put many miles and pounds on it through rugged Idaho country. I've never had a pack this tough. I was able to pack out a elk hindquarter and front shoulder in one load. Simply strapped both on and headed (slowly) down the mountain. Any other pack would have fallen apart or had straps break under the stress. Materials are high quality and very durable. Love it!
