I just finished putting the Eberlestock Brute Scout through a serious test on a 10-day elk hunt in Wyoming, and I can honestly say this is by far the best and most comfortable pack I have ever owned.
I was walking 5–10 miles a day through Wyoming elk country, carrying everything I needed for a full day in the field—and then some. Water, food, optics, extra clothing, hunting gear, and all the little things that add up quickly. Even loaded down and covering that kind of mileage, I barely felt the weight.
Anybody can put a pack on in a store and say it’s comfortable. Walk 5–10 miles a day with it for 10 straight days in Wyoming and you’ll find out what it’s really made of. This setup passed that test.
The organization is excellent, the Multicam looks awesome, everything stayed secure, and the combination of the Brute Scout, Cradle Hip Belt, and hydration bladder made carrying a full day’s worth of equipment incredibly comfortable.
I’ve carried plenty of packs over the years, but after putting this one through an actual Wyoming elk hunt, I’m sold.
Eberlestock absolutely knocked this setup out of the park. I’ll be using it on every serious hunt from here on out.
