I lost one side to my chest strap on Mosko chest rig and this one works perfectly as a replacement, it is even almost the exact color.

This strap worked like a dream. The attachments to the shoulder straps go up and down for adjustment, but they don't slide to easily, perfect. I recommend the product. Although, jeez, any good pack should come with them built in. I had to fit this sternum assembly on to my North Face travel pack. After two trips to Spain with the pack always about to fall off, I finally took action - works great now - I could run in this pack if I had to! Thanks!

Just replaced my original chest strap with new replacement strap. Works great. I’d forgotten how important a properly functioning chest strap is when carrying a load. It’s critical for keeping shoulder straps from sliding off your shoulders. Just be sure to replace both sides of the chest strap because the replacement strap is not interchangeable with original.

Either way you need this in your hoard. The original part used UTX Side squeeze buckle and the new one uses a UTX Sealth buckle. If you are dropping in a whole new Sternum Strap it does not matter. If you are wanting just buckles you need to order the spare buckle kit and choose 20mm. This will get you the old style buckle.

I added a sternum strap to my Aprentice backpack and let me tell you. That may be insignificant for many people, but for me it was a game changer.

Bag should have come with one anyways. It works great.

Very frustrating this expensive of a pack is cheapened by straps and clips that break when you need them the most. Even more frustrating when I have to pay for a replacement. Even more frustrating still once the replacement showed up its defective out of the bag. Cant even put it to use. Pack still out of commission. 5 buckles have failed. I have to buy a new pack and system as this one can not be trusted.

Poor design. The buckle came off and was lost after the first use.

I have used the F2 Transformer and F1 frame for the last 10 years (aprox) exploring and working in my homeland, Patagonia - Chile. 100% reliable!!

I bought two of these and used half of them to construct new upper straps to link my recon to my gunrunner. I Bought 3/4 inch plastic snaps and had the strap sewn to it. The straps are adjustable and allow me to position the recon perfectly. I tried buting the connectors from amazon and quickly realized that not all like sized web connectors are compatible. I am very happy

The replacement sternum strap came quickly and I was able to install it in less than 30 seconds. The ease of finding and installing replacement parts and mods will keep me coming back to Eberlestock for years to come.

Me & my brother in law have both lost the same side of this thing, but glad they have replacement parts! Got a different color to mix it up a bit.

Somehow I lost half my strap. Emailed customer service and they sent me a link to replace the part. Terrific really. Ordered (2 for back up), it arrived, it clipped on. No problem. Only slight issue is I couldn't match the color with my existing bag. So new style to influence!

Bought the sternum strap to use for my Goruck GR1 in Coyote. The Goruck sternum straps were sold out on their website and I didn't want to risk buying an iffy strap on amazon. The Eberlestock sternum strap is slightly smaller than the current Goruck strap and not as beefy/rugged, but I like how it has an elastic section and also a sewn-in strap manager. Tighter clearance during install, but once it's on the GR1, it works fine. Comfortable up to 30-35lbs in GR1, but beyond that the strap may not fare as well as the beefier Goruck strap. Also may not work as well if you are doing events where the pack will be bouncing around and pulling laterally with heavy weights, as it looks like it may not survive the abuse. But for regular day use, and just upright rucking, it works great!
