These are a big upgrade from the basic ones the packs come with. But, still super gay that you can’t upgrade them when you order. Same thing with the belt. Wha am I going to do with the extra stuff I replaced?

For the price paid, a very constructed and thought out piece of kit.

These padded straps are a must. Especially when packing out lots of weight

Padded Shoulder Harness

The extra padding on the shoulder harness and belt are definitely a game changer for a heavy load. The comfort level increased greatly with these. However I feel these should be an upgrade option when purchasing the mainframe
. Why not start a "build your pack" option where you dont have to buy the less padded components to later replace them with the more padded belt & shoulder harness? Let it be an option from the start !

It's a notable improvement over the stock option...especially when transporting heavy loads like during a pack out.

Very comfy, slightly longer than the standard straps on my Jacknife but that’s almost preferable because I felt the stock straps were a little short.

A must have ! If you have bony shoulders or carry a heavy load . I use this to carry elk quarters and pack my kids on hikes and the padded straps are 100x better than the OG ones

Great shoulder strap, pretty universal with all their packs. I actually switched out my bandit pack straps for these for a more comfortable day pack. It is unfortunate that these straps do not actually have the same Eberlestock logo as the standard straps. But since the quality and comfort are there I can pass on the logo

Probably the only Eberlestock product I haven’t given 5 Stars. It’s a good product and does help out with shoulder soreness but they left the “Eberlestock” logo off the front. . . I guess no one is perfect. . .

Exactly as ordered. If you plan on carrying loads greater than 45lbs, you need this upgrade.

Fits nice. Hopefully will get to see how it functions come September.

A little upset this didn't come standard with my F1 pack but I'm sure it keeps cost down. If you're packing over 40lbs this is an absolute game changer

I just purchased the padded shoulder harness directly from Eberlestock. I had it installed on my J34 Just One pack in minutes. This upgraded harness is a must for those hauling game etc. The harness is also much wider than the original and the padding is twice as thick making load hauling more stable and comfortable. Great quality and fast shipping as usual!

The Padded Shoulder Harness is a great upgrade on the Operator pack. It is so much better than the standard shoulder harness ... difference is daylight and dark. Just wish it would be available as an optional upgrade when purchasing the pack ... seems like a waste to pay for 2 shoulder harnesses when one is discarded.

If you’re gonna pack out elk you need this upgrade.
In my opinion eberlestock should offer this as their standard shoulder harness. If they’re gonna advertise this system for packing out big game it should come standard with an appropriately padded shoulder harness. A boned out coastal blacktail is too much weight for the standard shoulder harness.
