Much warmer than I thought it would be. Nice and comfy though I’m not a big fan of the fleece lining on the inside bottom that rests on your forehead when I am sweating. The fleece doesn’t absorb the sweat that well and have to air it out once I take it off. It’s not an issue really, just preference. Still 5/5 stars for a very solid and well constructed beanie that I bought both colors. Eberlestock does it again. Let’s see some more apparel releases like gloves, soft shells, etc..

We are still hitting the 80s and 90s in Washington, but tried it on feels well made and solid. I won't truly know until October when I am 9000 ft up in the Frank, but I have high hopes for it.

Have used it yet but looking forward to it. Appreciate the added fleece around the ears, other brands don’t have it.

I have a stack of beanies of all types and this one is hands down the best one I have had to this point. I am particular about the fit and function of certain things, beanies being one of them. The blend of wool with the fleece band is the perfect compromise between the two styles and materials. The cut is perfect so there are not any odd shapes, the fleece ring keeps the beanie from slipping up on your head while the wool allows your head to breath reducing moisture build up all while keeping you warm. I could not decide between the two colors so I bought both for myself. I have also bought a buddy one because I thought it was good enough that it was worth sharing. I will say that for smaller people the cut may not fit as snug. My daughter used mine while we were in New York on a cold rainy day, while it functioned perfectly (she loved it) it was loose around her head (next time I will pack both). This has become a permanent piece of gear.
