Description
The McCall Down Hooded Jacket is built for extreme conditions and frigid temperatures. It’s sized to fit over your base and mid-layers while staying compact enough to accommodate a rain shell over the top.
The outer 20D DWR-treated fabric keeps feathers in and moisture out. Paired with a lofty 850 FP Granger DWR-treated down, this jacket will keep you warm and dry during low and mid-levels of activity in the field. Graphene filled side panels maintain loft and enhance thermal conductivity, keeping you comfortable when temperatures swing throughout the day.
Batten down the hatches with an adjustable three-point cinch cord on the hood and a two-point waist cinch cord. The McCall Down Hooded Jacket self-stows in its own right-hand pocket, ensuring quick, compact storage on the go.

Got to wear it on my first deer hunt at 10,300ft in the Sierras last week! A little rain, wind, snow, and below freezing temps and the jacket kept me dry and warm.
Best jacket I own!
The fit and finish on this is OK but not Great. In other words it is not what I come to expect from Eberlestock. The cuffs on the jacket are supposed to have elastic to them. This provides a comfortable but fitted design that will block out cold air. But it has essentially no elasticity to them at all. When using this as a Mid lay it is not a problem because the Shell outer layer can provide the seal. But this limits this being used as an Outer layer when the temp calls for just a little warmth. I am starting to see a slight trend trying to shave a few pennies off of production cost. Please stick to what you are know for. High Quality Bomb Prof Gear.
I absolutely love this company and they came through once again, hit up the spring sale on the mccall hooded down jacket in the gunmetal color, super lightweight super warm, nice adjustable fit, super packable super awesome product I wish I had the money to run everything eberlestock so when a sale hits im getting something always! Love you guys thanks again!
Great quality jacket and fits well. I’m 6ft and 170 pounds athletic build and got the Medium which fits well. Enough room for a base and fleece without the jacket being overly baggy. Haven’t got to give it a good run yet as it’s not winter here in AU but looking forward to it. Build quality appears top notch and well made.
Fits great love the quality
Great jacket. It is very warm in a cold and the wind. It is what you come to expect from Eberlestock
I love the look of this jacket. It's very warm and perfect for casual wear or low activity hunting. I do think for hiking/active hunting (unless it's super cold), it could get a little hot without being able to ventilate at all. Some armpit vents would be a good idea for the future design of this jacket but it's perfect for what I'm using it for.
Super warm, light weight and packs away small when not needed.
Perfect for packing for a long hike to the hunt stand and pulling out once you get there. Have used in low 30 degree weather and very happy with it. Take it off when hiking, would get torn up by thorns and busting brush - but I bought this planning to do that so no issues.
Customers praised this lightweight, packable down jacket for exceptional warmth in 20-45°F temperatures. "Best jacket I own!" said one reviewer. Well-constructed with quality camo patterns, it's ideal for hunting and hiking. Some noted snug armpits, lack of pit zips, and drawstring fraying. Runs slightly small.
- Best jacket I own!
- Great lightweight jacket that is super warm
- Great value and keeps me warm, even if I've perspired.

Got it, have worn it several times along with a base, and mid layer, with a fleece outer layer, stayed warm after walking into to hunt with my summit climber on my back, temps in upper 20’s. I packed the outer layer in, which helped from overheating. Great value and keeps me warm, even if I’ve perspired.
As always, an excellent Eberlestock quality product. Warm, well -constructed, and great camo pattern (Mirage). However, arm pits are a bit snug and do not have pit zips to dump heat (why do any hunting jackets not have pit zips?). Otherwise I am happy with the jacket.
Excellent quality and materials…just like everything elae they make.
Love this jacket. It is warm on cold days, but not too warm on the cool days.
Made with great quality. And, has the BEST name possible, McCall!
The McCall Hooded down jacket provided the warmth and dryness that I want for archery season while remaining light weight and not bulky. The temperature ranged from 20-45 degrees Fahrenheit. (I shoot a traditional bow, so I recommend a forearm guard because my bow string rubbed along the jacket sleeve.) The jacket remain dry in a few light rains. The hood on this jacket is great in maintaining heat, but with most hoods limits your hearing ability.
My only negative surprise with this jacket is durability. The drawstring sleeve started to fray against the velcro patches on the back pockets of my pants after only a few uses.
Bought this as the first new coat purchase in about 10 yrs. Don't need a really a super warm coat in S. TX very often. This is just the ticket for N.M. muley hunting. Bought it as a stow away for the backpack. Can't wait to try it out in a couple of months. It seems really well thought out and Eberlestock was kind enough to shoot a video of how to fit it in the pocket. (I can be a little dense sometimes.)
I love this jacket! It is well made, the pattern matches most of my hunting attire and this thing keeps me warm. I have not tried it in frigid temperatures yet but I have no doubt that it will meet the challenge. My favorite thing about this jacket is how you can pack it down and carry it in your backpack.
Good heavier weight jacket very warm
Fits perfectly!! Eberlestock does it again!!
Awesome jacket. Runs a little small
Outstanding Quality and SUPERFAST SHIPPING!!
I love it, super warm and looks good plus it is easy to pack
Love the jacket. Very well made and its probably the warmest jacket I've ever worn.
I loved this jacket the first few times I wore it. Light, warm, easy to pack & stow. Then a seam in one of the sleeves came undone & I proceeded to leave a trail of feathers through 2 airports.
Contacted customer service including pictures of the open seam & the continuing cloud of feathers spewing from the jacket (seriously .. it pukes feathers just hanging on a door knob) and they won’t replace it unless I cut this one in half. Yes .. you read that right .. I have to cut a down jacket in half and litter my house or yard with feathers.
4 star jacket (would be 5 except for durability) and 1 star customer service.
Awesome Jacket!
A fantastic piece for anyone looking for a versatile, lightweight layer. It’s warm enough to wear as an outer layer on cool days, and the hood provides good coverage without being too bulky. I also appreciate the streamlined fit—it's not baggy but still allows for layering underneath.
