elk, Hunt EMOD, Hunting
May 20, 2026

The country doesn't care. Western elk hunts punish that approach. Miles of vertical, weather that swings forty degrees in a day, terrain that demands hands-free rifle carry, and the very real possibility that you'll need to haul out 200 pounds of boned meat from somewhere a truck will never reach.

Bino Carry, Chest Packs
May 11, 2026

Your binoculars are one of the most-used pieces of gear in the field. The harness you choose decides how fast you deploy them, how comfortable they carry, how protected they stay, and in some cases, whether your electronics still read true.

Eberlestock builds two purpose-driven harnesses: the Recon Bino Pack and the Bravo Bino Pack. The fork in the road comes down to one design choice: magnets.

gear, scabbard
Apr 28, 2026

Since 2003, Eberlestock has owned the rifle-carry space. We've had dozens of packs with integrated scabbards, like the original Just One, which started it all, or the original Gunslinger (GS05), which brought the scabbard to the battlefield. We've had legacy versions of the scabbard, like the Tactical Weapon Carrier, which worked as a modular scabbard for Mission packs, and the Bolt Action Scabbard, which still works with new packs like the Brute Series and Hunt EMOD frames.

gear, materials, technical features

When you're choosing gear for tactical applications, backcountry hunts, or everyday carry, the fabric it's made from matters more than most people realize. Two terms come up constantly in product specs but they're often glossed over or misunderstood. Ripstop and denier. Here's what they actually mean and why you should factor them into your gear decisions.

Hunting
Apr 15, 2026

Spring bear season is one of the most underrated opportunities on the western hunting calendar. Snow is starting to pull back, south-facing slopes are greening up, and bears are emerging from their winter dens. And if you’re hunting pressured areas, it’s a race to find them before they go nocturnal. It's also a hunt that puts unique demands on your gear.

range gear, shooting

Maybe it's the bag that's great for handguns but can't fit your rifle gear. The bag with all the pockets but none of them in the right place. The soft one that flops over the moment you set it down. The bag you've been "making work" for years because buying another one feels like admitting defeat.

Mission, Romad
Feb 20, 2026

Overall, the ROMAD strikes an ideal balance between durability, comfort, and operational use. While my role has evolved since my time in the military, I still demand gear that performs under stress and in unpredictable environments. The ROMAD delivers on that expectation, and I’ve been very pleased with its performance in both training and downrange
