Perfect for day hunts, it offers 2500 cubic inches of storage with quick access to essential gear. When it’s time to pack out, the frame-mounted load panel secures quarters and heavy loads between the pack and the frame, keeping weight close to your back for maximum stability.

Blending modern Eberlestock innovation with legendary durability, the Foundation Pack is constructed utilizing the same frame as our Brute Series and Modframe™. Its Contoured Shoulder Harness, Cradle Hip Belt, padded lumbar support, and raised load lifters will keep the pack securely positioned on your torso when navigating the uneven terrain where elk call home. Drawing inspiration from the Bandit Pack, the exterior of the pack also features a load panel to quickly stow shed antlers, bows, jackets, waders, and other gear. Pair with the Pack Lid to maximize storage capability and securely anchor bulky loads.

In collaboration with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the Foundation Pack carries forward Eberlestock’s long-standing commitment to conservation. The Foundation pack is perfectly designed for elk hunting, I packed a boned out rear quarter, and a front 2.5 miles, fits awesome, very adjustable, straps lock great!
I had an X2 previously and loved it, however this pack is perfect and better in all ways

It will not work with other bags, as it is not modular. For the modular version of this pack, you will want to go with the Modframe paired with one of our Hunt EMOD bags.

How does a scabbard attach to the foundation pack?

It simply molles to the frame. In order to do this, you would just disconnect the load panel and bag, run the straps through the molle webbing, and then reattach the bag and panel.

How do I fit my pack?

A properly fitted pack rides better and hauls heavier loads more comfortably. Adjust your torso length, hip belt, and shoulder straps for the best fit.

Second to none

I don't think there is any other company making packs and gear as good as Eberlestock. This Brute 4500 is bomb proof but still light weight, fits my thin to average sized body extrememly well and the options for loadout is second to none. Killer gear in my opinion.

Great match pack!

I got this pack just in time for Kinetic Comps Sniper Challenge. I did a couple 60lb walks with it the week before the event and it felt great. Competing the pack at about 35lbs was perfect for the rucks we did no issues at all. Only thing to note is the GP pouches when wearing a battle belt dont work great so I had to put those on the side of the pack. Also smaller profile is perfect for matches so you don't carry too much useless gear.

I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend after I picked up the Upranger because she wanted a smaller/duffle version. She absolutely loves it! It has everything she needs for the range/Tactical Games and still has plenty of room left! Well worth the money!

This pack saved my Alaska moose hunt!

Last year I suffered a bad injury and have to have my left shoulder joint completely replaced. It was virtually impossible for my shoulder to bear any weight at all. No packs that I had even seemed remotely possible to use, and I figured there was no way I could go on the hunt I had planned. I ordered this pack and fit it as directed, went on the hunt, and was hauling loads up to 80lbs, and I never even thought about pressure on my shoulder. Absolutely amazing. I'm sold on Ebelestock gear! And yes, I got my moose!
