This is an incredibly well built and put together bag. It just has a few shortcomings that may or may not be addressable. My first problem is with the space for the laptop. If you just grab your laptop in the middle and try and pull it out it catches on the lip of the bag. I tried to demonstrate this in the picture, my laptop is 14". You can overcome this by simply pulling it from the corner of your device rather than the middle. Still kind of annoying though. My second issue is that the shoulder strap doesn't have any rubberized texture to it so it slips off your shoulder pretty easily. I also carry my cables and mouse with me everywhere and there's no real good spot to store those. The cables would store well in the water bottle pouch but I like using that for a water bottle. I end up just throwing them in the big compartment with the laptop.

Other than those minor issues I love the bag. I bought the bag because it is the only laptop bag I could find with a separate CCW compartment all to itself and I love the magnet enclosure. Quick in and out, very secure and there's no way to tell it's there unless you're looking for it. the olive color seems a bit darker than in the pictures, which I appreciate.

Oh, and the outside pocket and the outer compartments of the water bottle area are pretty tight, don't expect to get much use out of them if you pack the main compartments full.

The Fade Brief is well padded and a perfect fit for my 16 inch MacBook Pro.

I spent a few weeks looking for the perfect discreet professional looking "gray man" brief case for my MacBook pro, I was unsure on the sizing so I reached out to customer service which was awesome and quick to reply! Ordered the fade brief and rt is perfect! Added the large and small admin pouches, awesome add ons for little extra storage space, the bag DOES FIT THE MACBOOK PRO M5 16"!!! That was my only hang up it is not specified anywhere!!! There is plenty of extra room for the MacBook to securely fit and slide in and out with no rubbing or issues! Fantastic and well thought out everyday work / commute laptop style briefcase bag. It has good compartments and layouts and materials are lasting and not showing any wear after roughly six months of daily work use. I primarily use this strictly as a work bag with laptop, notebook, paperwork folder, work badges, small power supply with cord, laptop mouse, a few pens, a vehicle key, sunglasses, water bottle, and a first aid pouch. The only thing this bag is lacking is more space and a good shoulder strap. The shoulder strap needs to have some rubber anti slip on it so it does not slide off your shoulder is all. But the space is the bigger one. As an example, there's a build in sleeve for a 32oz nalgene inside the bag. You can use it as designed but don't place anything else in that side area otherwise the zippers will not want to close and there is a huge bulge in the bag. Every pocket or sleeve in the bag needs to have more room so that as you place items in the bag you are not taking up space for another pocket or sleeve that is in the same space. If you try to use this bag to hold daily work items and them add a conceal carry in the space for the conceal carry, you lose the ability to place things inside the middle of the main compartment. The whole bag just needs more space or to have some pockets be removed. Still, even with the lack of designed space and the slippery shoulder strap, i'm keeping it and using is every day as it blends in so well to day to day work. It just could be better.

The brief allows me to carry my 13" mac book, my apple DVD Player, all my cords and my I Phone, Apple Watch, Air pods Charging unit plus premier body insert in one place. I could carry my CC9 & spare magazine but I prefer to not carry off body,

I bought this brief to be the perfect middle ground between carrying my notebook and carrying a larger briefcase. The Fade Black is exactly that. It is tight as it exactly contains my 17" laptop and gives me sufficient space for notebooks and a book. Well constructed as is true for all Eberlestock products. It is exactly what I needed.

I am always in a weird spot where I need to carry but do not want my bag to scream tacticool. The fade series fits the bill on every level. I carry a 15” lap top, an iPad in an otter box, my note book, chargers and cords and 3 magazines and a mid size Glock without any issues. The inside of the pack is customizable in many ways and the fade accessories are a beautiful addition and I added two of the admin pouches along with the view pouch. The pack does not look military and the pistol access is elegant easy and silent. No Velcro is a must in my opinion. The sling fits nicely and the bag sits comfortably on the body while carrying for long distances. As with any ccw bag, practicing your draw from the pouch is imperative. I am not a fanboy for any one brand, but eberlestock has great products and though a couple of their items did not fit my needs well, this bag and this series seems to be a home run. I may even have to try the back pack after the success with this brief.

I own several bags for EDC that I rotate throughout the year, but I didn't have a good sling/laptop bag, and quickly stumbled upon the Fade Brief. I was actually about to purchase the Executive Brief, but it seemed a little too big for what I needed. The Fade Brief is perfect- I've got everything I need in it, and its extremely comfortable. The CCW area easily fits my Sig X-Macro in a holster and a spare mag. I also added an admin pouch and one of the see-through bags for additional, loose items. Dont hesitate- get a Fade Brief now!

I recently bought the Fade Brief to replace a computer/book satchel I had. It was not a true EDC bag. This brief works great for what I need. I was considering the Executive Brief but after researching it, I felt it was going to be too big for what I needed. The Fade Brief fits the bill. It has room for all of my work related items and papers with some room to spare. Tossed in a first aid kit as well. My 17” laptop fits well and when not needed, books that I am reading / studying fit there as well. Added a large admin pouch. The sling is very comfortable. The EDC pouch is very easy to access. Overall it is a great brief and very comfortable to carry. I don’t usually abuse my gear too much and am interested in seeing how the 210 denier ripstop nylon will perform. Highly recommend!

I’ve tried many different “business” oriented EDC bags and this one is by far the best that I’ve used. The amount of space and modularity makes sure that I always have room for whatever the day requires

I cannot recommend this bag enough if you carry a brief or messenger bag. I have and still do own them all (bags, slings, backpacks of various EDC models). This one is a real winner. You get to set it up the way you want, and the hidden gun compartment is perfect for off-body carry or a backup. I tend to carry an LCP Max IWB and then my full size in the EDC compartment.

I’ve had quite a few similar bags but the design and execution of the Fade Brief well exceeds all the others I’ve owned. I fit a 13” MacBook, a medium size planner, iPad, a pistol, sunglasses, flashlight, and much more. It’s still compact, slim, structured and easily accessible. Home run.

Worth a quick note - I did buy both the Fade transport and Adapt, but returned them. Not because I didn’t like them, because I was trying to push the space limits out of them for a specific range bag setup and I was asking a bit much out of the available volume.

This computer case fits in anywhere and makes it easy to carry compact to full size handguns and extra mags along with other EDC items. Plenty of pockets to organize and loop fabric to place accessory organizers.
