Description

The Padded Hip Belt is best added to packs intended to regularly carry heavier than normal loads (45 lbs.+) for sustained periods. The Padded Hip Belt may also be a wise addition for those with little body fat to reduce abrasion discomfort on the hip bones. The Padded Belt is approximately double the height and thickness of the Standard Hip Belt, and is 35" of padding.

Ladder locking DuraFlex HD buckles ensures proper fitment and carry. The Padded Hip Belt also features three horizontal rows of MOLLE webbing for mounting accessories like the Padded accessory pouch or the MultiPack.

***DOES NOT FIT THE SWITCHBLADE, LITTLE TRICK, JACKNIFE, BANDIT, OR GUNRUNNER.

Excellent pack belt modification

I have an Osprey Exos 58 pack. Osprey built a fantastic pack but then put a lightweight hip belt on it. I hand-stitched the Eberlestock padded belt to the Exos 58. It really transfers the weight to my hips.

Great upgrade to make those heavy pack outs ride

Great upgrade to make those heavy pack outs ride better on your hips

DEFINITELY A MUST HAVE!

The weight reduction that this belt offers is spectacular! Perfect fit, Im a 34" waist and it fit the little brother perfectly 👌

Great belt

I put this on a Kifaru Anter 2.0, the belt is probably overkill for the pack but depending on what i am doing the pack can be a bit overloaded. The belt does what it supposed to do, takes weight off the shoulders.

Great Addition

I bought this for the Little Bother Pack and I have zero regrets. It rests comfortably on the hips and the Molle allows the addittion of smaller pouches for quick access to essential items.

NICE HIP BELT

Nice Hip Belt - Extra padding & nice fit - Easy to change out - Already have lots of miles training with 50lbs for a wilderness hunt, so lots of swapping out & fine tuning - One thing!! I really like the forward pull to tighten the belt & the easy release of the original belt - Why did we go away from that? But the remedy is if you have enough strap left over run it through the first loop & still pull forward to tighten. Just a little worried about that first loop pulling out or wearing through. Otherwise Love It!

Extra padding is sweet

Just wish the padded hip belt had the same tightening set up as the original one. You don't pull to the center to tighten tou pull towards your sides. I don't feel like you can get it tightening just right that way.

Padded belt

Feels great, gives amazing support. Just wish they would give you the option to trade out the standard one for this when building your pack. Same thing with the padded shoulder straps.

Works great with heavy loads

Terrific addition to Little Boy pack. Carrying 48.8 lbs and no discomfort on hips. My waist is 36” and with light clothing I have just about completely compressed it and have little adjustment left. If you are slim waisted and not wearing much clothing this may not get tight enough for you.

Great hip belt

Great quality hip belt. Too small for me. Had to return it. I’m a 33/34 belt size for comparison. It will not work for anything under 36 I believe. Too bad. Much better padding and size than the standard hip belt.

This is so much better than the hip belt that comes on the f1 main frame, its way to small and I have a 32 inch waist. This new belt actually wraps around so you can actually access the accessory pouch that I have attached on the sides.

Padded Hip Belt and Shoulder Harness

The ONLY way to go when carrying a heavy load over miserable terrain. The belt and shoulder harness are very comfortable and distribute the weight evenly.

Size matters

This wider padded hip belt performs better than the standard belt at pack weights of 25-50 lbs. It hugs my pelvis better and reduces slippage, also reducing pressure points on the sacrum and iliac crests. Unfortunately it does not fit waist sizes smaller than 34” like the standard hip belt. My waist is about 32 “ and I’m trying to make it work but the straps are maxed right out as tight as they can go. This seats the medial ends of the pads deep into my abdomen which is not so comfortable. The upside is that the extra coverage helps reduce slippage even better. Eberlestock ‘s adherence to “one size fits most“ packs, harnesses, and hip belts is suboptimal at best. This type of equipment has to fit perfectly or it will not work well for you. The foam could be a little more stiff and grippy, but it’s functional as is. I like how the molle panels are looser than on the standard belt so I can tuck in the straps getting them out of the way. If you like to attach accessory pouches you may find yourself wishing those panels were more flush to the belt.

Perfect fitting belt

This belt is exactly what I needed for heavier loads. Honestly it’s way better than the standard belt and changes the pack system considerably.

The perfect hip belt

5 star but it should have been an option when I got my pack. Now I have an extra hip belt and shoulder harness.

A Little Padding

I needed a wider hip belt with a little more padding for a heavy pack. This works very well.

Exactly as ordered. If you plan on carrying loads greater than 45lbs, you need this upgrade.

Very well designed! Works as expected!

To give some background, I am just getting into outdoor activities. I don't have much experience in backpacking, camping, or hiking. I recently used Eberlestock's equipment on a church mission trip, and I am very pleased with the quality they put into their packs.

I purchased Eberlestock's Little Brother mission pack 2 months ago, and as I was doing research on other modular parts to add to the pack, I stumbled upon this padded hip belt, along with the Gossamer G-Type Frame. I was debating which one to buy, or whether to buy both due to my inexperience in the field. I asked a friend who has been in the military which one he preferred and he said that a hip belt is a "must have" when it comes to having a lot of weight on your back (which aligned with what people were saying online). I purchased it within the last couple weeks and I tested it out on a short hike. I'm pleased to report that it works very well. I immediately experienced how the belt puts most of the weight onto my hips, taking the strain off of my shoulders. Even though it was just a test with not a lot of weight in the pack, I wouldn't be surprised in the future if this piece helps me on future backpacking, camping, and hiking adventures.

When it comes to the features of the belt, it was very easy and straight forward to install. I was a little bit confused as to why there were 2 sewn on straps near the center of the belt, but after some research I figured out that those are meant for the Battleship pack. The MOLLE webbing is fantastic, and I was easily able to thread on a large padded accessory pouch and double threaded pouch that I had purchased along with the belt. I will say that the excess portion of the large straps used to tighten the belt around my waste, tend to come out of their loops pretty easily, but it's not to big of a deal.

To anyone reading this on the fence as to wether to start with the Standard Hip Belt or this Padded Hip Belt, I'd say go with the Padded one. I was debating this myself, and I decided to just go with the best solution for my future adventures. And, it's a $5 difference, so a good investment in my eyes.

Padded Hip Belt

This was a worthwhile upgrade to the original hip belt on my J34 pack. In addition to much thicker padding on this belt it was also wider than the original belt with an additional row of Molle webbing in width. In addition to the increased comfort, this belt provided a more stable grip on my hips making the pack more stable and secure overall. Maybe Eberlestock will include this belt right out of the box mind you the original belt might fit some users well enough as it is. Highly recommended upgrade over original.

Nice improvement

Although it added a bit of bulk, that elk quarter should ride a little nicer now.

Extra padded belt

Very good upgrade. I wish they would give you an option when ordering the main frame for these upgrades now I have a belt with no use and extra cost 💲

Padded Hip Belt a "Must Have" Item

The Eberlestock padded hip belt adds tremendous value to a pack. I put one on the Operator and couldn't believe the difference. It places a significant amount of pack weight on the hips, thereby relieving weight on the shoulders. My only complaint is that the padded hip belt should be an upgrade option for each pack. What to do with the hip belt which I initially paid for and have now discarded?

Game changer

If you have a larger than average frame the padded belt will fit more comfortably and correctly on your hips enabling you to carry heavy loads. When you combine the padded hip belt with the extra padded shoulder harness you have a true heavy pack system. For anything over 45 pounds the standard waist belt and shoulder straps are woefully inadequate.

Long padded hip belt

Much better than the one that came with the pack. Molly attachments come around the front far enough to be useable with a pouch.

Padded Hip Belt

The padded hip belt is exactly as Eberlestock describes and recommends. With my pack standard contingency gear and food and water, the padded hip belt felt good. At first I thought the belt padding might be thicker than ideal. I was wrong. Today was the first good test carrying an additional twenty-two pounds of climbing gear on top of my standard load, bushwacking several miles cross-country along a river, side sloping, and up and down some steep terrain. The padded hip belt felt awesome, and I did not really feel any strain on my hips. Material and craftsmanship is heavy duty excellent. The belt buckle straps secure good. Comfort is outstanding. For reference, I am 5'11" 175 pounds, with small low body fat waist. The padded hip belt was a perfect pack upgrade, money well spent.

Hi,
Have a 32" inseam for pants. I have low body fat and boney hips. I have a ULA Circuit pack and my hips hurt too much to take the proper amt of the load....Do you have a replacement hip belt suggestion? Size? Thx!

Eberlestock

I would recommend the Cradle hip belt. It will be extremely comfortable and is very wide which distributes the pressure on your hips.
